As you can see we have recently given the website a major overhaul. David Miller Art now showcases all my original paintings, including a select archive of past works whilst Wildlife Art Prints, which you can access via the ‘Shop’ link is dedicated to my growing collection of available prints.  Both sites are now more user-friendly for tablet and mobile users and we have added Paypal to our checkout to make buying prints even easier.

During May I spent a day filming puffins with The One Show in which we discussed my painting and my methods of getting closer to these colourful hunters in the water. Although I’ve worked with the BBC before it still amazes me how much effort and filming goes into the production of perhaps five minutes air time. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with a great production team. You can watch the piece here:

News Highlights

I spent a great deal of 2013 working on a design job that I couldn’t share with any of you! However, as of 5th June I can now reveal that this was a set of 10 postage stamps for the Royal Mail highlighting five sustainable British fish species and five endangered. I feel extremely honoured to have been asked to produce these images and would especially like to thank Viki Wearmouth, Bristol Aquarium and Welsh Sea Foods for their help in securing images/specimens of all these wonderful fish.

During  the Autumn of 2010 I was asked by the BBC to take part in Autumnwatch as part of Iolo William’s quest for Welsh sea trout. I was filmed painting in the studio and snorkelling in my local rivers and here is the result.  I hope you enjoy it!

Last year (2014)my painting ‘Bass, Mackerel & Sand-eels’ was short listed for the ‘Artist & Illustrators Magazine’ Artist of the Year competition.  I’m very pleased to say that not only was the painting ‘Highly Commended’ but it was also voted ‘Readers Choice’ (not bad for a fish!). Thank you again to everyone who voted.
